Acting Prosecutor Carolyn Murray and Newark Police Director Eugene Venable are reporting a homicide which occurred in the city last evening.
Authorities said, at a little after 9 p.m. last evening, Newark Police responded to a Schuyler Avenue address on person shot. When officers arrived, they found Jawain Bernabela, 19, unresponsive . He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is on going and there is no current motive or suspects authorities said .

The Essex County Sheriff Crime Stoppers is offering a $5000.00 reward for information leading to an arrest.
