At 4:30 a.m., temperatures in downtown Newark hovered around 72 degrees, with a comfortable breeze adding to the early morning charm.
Communities in Sussex County, including Morristown, Haledon, and Somerset, are experiencing slightly cooler starts but still enjoying mild conditions as the day begins.
According to the National Weather Service, today’s forecast calls for partly sunny skies and a high near 91 degrees, marking a noticeable jump from earlier in the week.
A light south wind between 3 and 8 mph will accompany the rise in temperatures.
Tonight, expect mostly cloudy skies with a low around 69 degrees.
