UPDATE: Two Killed in Fatal Bergen County Crash on NJ Turnpike

New Jersey State Police are investigating a fatal crash that killed two on the New Jersey Turnpike early Wednesday morning.

According to state police officials, a crash was reported at 12:02 a.m. on the New Jersey Turnpike northbound local lanes at milepost 120 in Teaneck, Bergen County.  

The preliminary investigation revealed that a Subaru Impreza was traveling in the northbound local lanes, and an Infiniti G35 was traveling in the center lane next to the Subaru.  

According to police officials, a Ram C3500 was pulling a utility trailer behind the Subaru.  In the area of milepost 120, the Ram struck the rear of the Subaru, and both vehicles entered the Infiniti's path of travel.  

State police said that the Infiniti struck the Ram, and all three vehicles struck the left guardrail/concrete traffic barrier.  

As a result of the crash, the front passenger of the Subaru, identified as Jose M. Medrano, 39, of Bronx, NY, sustained serious injuries.  

The two rear passengers of the Subaru, identified as Cesarina Medrano, 57, of Bronx, NY, and Ingris Tejada, 54, of New York, NY, sustained fatal injuries.  

The investigation is ongoing, and there is no more information available at this time.
