Newark Police are appealing to the public for assistance in locating 33-year-old Mr. Derrick Knight, who is wanted for questioning in relation to an armed robbery that took place on December 26, 2023.
The incident occurred around 4 p.m. in the 100 block of Camden Street.
According to police reports, Knight had arranged to meet with the male victim just before the robbery.
As they walked together, two Black males allegedly approached them from behind. The assailants demanded the victim's belongings and struck him with a handgun.
Notably, Knight was neither robbed nor injured during the incident.
Knight, described as being 5'6" tall and weighing 145 pounds, is sought by detectives investigating the case.

All tips provided to the Crime Stoppers line are kept confidential, and informants may be eligible for a reward for their assistance in this ongoing investigation.
