On Saturday, April 19, officers initiated a motor vehicle stop along Route 46 after noticing an equipment violation.

During the encounter, police identified the driver, Kacey Oliver, as having an active warrant listed in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database.

Oliver was taken into custody without incident, processed at Denville Police Headquarters, and later transferred to the custody of the Warren County Sheriff's Office for further proceedings.

Later in the week, at approximately 10:54 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, Denville Police were dispatched to a crash with injuries on Route 10, just east of Franklin Road.

Witnesses at the scene reported that the vehicle responsible had fled before officers arrived.

Denville Police quickly obtained a description of the suspect vehicle and coordinated with neighboring agencies to locate it.

The Morris Township Police Department soon located the vehicle in question. Through further investigation, authorities determined the driver, identified as Maynor A. Vasquezcabrera, was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Vasquezcabrera was arrested by Denville Police, processed, and charged accordingly. He was released pending a scheduled appearance at Morris County Superior Court.
