Suspects Sought for Crashing Car Into Rutgers Owned Building in Newark

Late Thursday night, Rutgers University Police launched an investigation into an incident where a vehicle crashed into a building owned by Rutgers. 

Several suspects are now being sought after crashing the car into a university building. The event prompted an immediate response from police and firefighters to the 30's block of Bergen Street following reports of the collision. 

Upon arrival, authorities discovered a damaged car abandoned at the scene. Witnesses reported seeing several individuals, believed to be male, fleeing from the crashed vehicle towards the Georgia King Village housing complex.

Police believe these suspects wore ski masks at the time of the collision. 

Newark firefighters were called to assess the structural integrity of the impacted building. Initial observations suggested that the building sustained significant damage.

The suspects remain at large, and no injuries were reported.
