Sunday: 12th Annual Tour de Elizabeth

The 12th Annual Tour de Elizabeth, a 15 mile recreational bicycle tour of the City of Elizabeth, schedule for this Sunday is expected to draw a big crowd.

The annual bicycle ride hopes to showcase the city's various neighborhoods all while focusing on the arches, bridges and parks, giving riders a view of the city's open-space architecture.

The ride is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 17 in front of the Elizabeth City Hall, located at 50 Winfield Scott Place. However, registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Riders are asked to arrive early.

Those that signed up online prior to the Tour will receive a signature 2015 cap and Tour t-shirt.  

Online registrations can be made by going to www.groundworkelizabeth.com. Walk ups are also accepted on the day of the Tour. 

All riders must wear helmets, and participants under 12 must be accompanied by a participating parent.

A full array of tables for sponsors and services will be exhibited at Winfield Scott Park on the day of the event.
