Plainfield Police are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital this morning.
Plainfield Police Division received a ShotSpotter alert in the area of Muhlenberg Place and South Second Street.
Police responded and located an adult male victim who suffered gunshot wounds at approximately 1:45 a.m.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is in stable condition at this time.
Plainfield Police Criminal Investigation Bureau is investigating.
