Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

My friends and family in Newark and the North Jersey region are advised to brace themselves for a day of rough weather. The National Weather Service (NWS) predicts a challenging combination of high winds and heavy rain.Real EstateThe day starts with a relatively mild wind speed of around nine mph, but conditions are expected to deteriorate rapidly post-lunch, leading to potential flooding concerns in several North Jersey towns.

The NWS forecasts a dismal day with intermittent showers before 8 a.m., transitioning to more persistent rain afterward.

The temperature will hover near 46 degrees, but the breezy conditions, featuring an east wind of 18 to 23 mph and gusts reaching up to 41 mph, will likely make it feel colder.

The chance of precipitation stands at a solid 100%.

As evening approaches, the situation could escalate with rain and possible thunderstorms before 2 a.m., followed by a likely continuation of rain.

Temperatures will drop to around 40 degrees overnight while winds maintain their intensity, gusting as high as 38 mph.

Residents are urged to exercise caution and stay informed about local weather updates.
