Authorities yesterday arrested a woman for an alleged assault of a Family Dollar employee in Roselle Park.
According to police, yesterday at approximately 3:44 p.m., police responded to the Family Dollar located on E. Westfield Avenue for a report of a customer who had assaulted an employee.
The suspect described as a female wearing a pink coat fled on foot towards the rear of the store. Ptl. Polakoski and Ptl Gaylord located the individual on Williams Street, according to police.
The suspect initially identified herself as “Rayshona Smith” but was later identified by police as Cecilia L. White, 26, of Roselle Park.
White was arrested and charged with simple assault and hindering apprehension.
White was also found to have outstanding warrants out of Elizabeth, Newark, Tinton Falls, Ridgefield Municipal Court bail totaling $6,215.
Bail was set by Roselle Park Municipal Court Judge Gary Bundy at $2,500.
White was transported and lodged into the Union County Jail.
