Third Home Invasion Robbery Report Under Investigation in Verona

Authorities are investigating yet another home invasion robbery that reportedly occurred in the township overnight. 

Police responded to calls of suspicious activities in the 50's block of Afterglow Avenue at around 11:31 p.m. where they arrived and began an immediate search for a 5'9"black male who was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, blue jeans, and a black zip-up shirt with a white undershirt.

The suspect is connected to a possible home invasion robbery in the neighborhood according to reports. The actor fled in a black 4-door Mercedes. It is not immediately known if the suspect actually entered the residence at this time. 

The report is the third reported incident in the township for the Month of May.  

Police said on Wednesday May 20, 2015 there was an early morning attempted home invasion burglary that occurred on Woodland Ave, where the actors  fled the scene after discovering that residents were in the home. Police said when the actors realized that residents were home, they fled the scene.  

On Sunday May 17th, Verona Police confirmed that a residential robbery that took place in the township left and older woman  with minor injuries after the homeowner was reportedly tied up.

The home invasion incident took place in the lower end of Grove between Bloomfield and Linden Avenues at around 11:40 p.m. according to reports.  A thorough search of the area by police yielded negative results for a suspect. 

It is not immediately known if any of the incidents are connected at this time.
