Authorities today confirmed that an inmate serving time in the East Jersey State Prison was found dead last night.
Nicholas W. Tejeda, who was a prisoner since Ocotber 2007, was found unresponsive in his cell shortly after 11 p.m.
Tejeda was pronounced dead at approximately 11:30 p.m. by a doctor at the prison.He was serving time after pleading guilty to two counts of first-degree murder after he shot his ex-wife and her lover, according to reports.
His death is under investigation.
