Paterson police are currently probing two separate robbery incidents, one resulting in a gunshot wound in a city neighborhood on Saturday morning.

In the first incident, law enforcement received reports of shots fired around 2:50 a.m. in the vicinity of 956 Market Street. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered an individual with a gunshot wound to the arm.

The victim was promptly transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for medical treatment and is expected to recover.

Authorities have reported that the suspect fled the scene and is currently at large. Preliminary investigations suggest that the shooting may have occurred during an attempted robbery.

Shortly after the initial incident, police were called to respond to a reported armed robbery in progress near 111 Buffalo Avenue.

Law enforcement believes that the same suspects from the earlier robbery were involved in this subsequent incident before making their escape.

Both robbery cases are currently under investigation.

Paterson authorities are actively pursuing leads and working diligently to apprehend those responsible for these crimes.
