Newark

It seems like summer isn't ready to say goodbye just yet, as my friends and family in Newark and the North Jersey region are in for a day that feels more like July than October.

With temperatures expected to reach a high near 85 degrees, The National Weather Service meteorologist said residents can enjoy a warm and sunny day.

Although some areas may start with dense morning fog, it's likely to dissipate as the day progresses.

NWS meteorologists say the morning began with a comfortable 62 degrees, setting the stage for a delightful day outdoors.

The calm winds will shift to the northwest at around five mph in the afternoon, making it an ideal day for outdoor activities.

As October continues to surprise us with summer-like warmth, it's a reminder to savor these beautiful days before the chill of autumn settles in.

Please don't forget to grab your sunglasses and sunscreen as you step outside to enjoy this unexpected taste of summer.
