NWS: Partly Sunny Skies with a Slight Chance of Showers for Newark

Residents in Newark and the surrounding North Jersey region can expect partly sunny skies today with a slight chance of showers in the afternoon, according to the latest weather forecast.

This morning, The National Weather Service said temperatures are in the 40s and 50s, providing a cool start to the day.

Despite the cool morning, it remains mainly dry. However, there is a chance for isolated precipitation, particularly in the afternoon.

The daytime high is expected to reach around 63 degrees, with a north wind blowing at approximately seven mph. Humidity levels are at 74%, and the barometer reads 29.80.

As the day progresses, NWS meteorologists say there is a 20% chance of showers after 2 p.m. Residents are advised to keep an umbrella handy just in case.

Tonight, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy, with temperatures dropping to around 49 degrees. It's a good idea to dress accordingly for the day's variable conditions.
