Newark

My friends and family in the Newark and the North Jersey region can look forward to another beautiful day on the horizon, with cool temperatures greeting those heading out early this morning.

The day promises mostly sunny skies, with a high temperature expected to reach around 78°F.

According to The National Weather Service, initially, the wind will be light and variable, gradually shifting to a southwest direction at approximately 6 mph during the afternoon.

Humidity levels will be relatively comfortable at 70%, making for a pleasant day to enjoy outdoor activities.

However, as evening approaches, keeping an umbrella at the ready is advisable. The afternoon holds a 30% chance of showers after 2 p.m., but the real change comes Sunday night.

NWS forecasters said there's a 90% chance of precipitation in the evening, with a potential for showers and thunderstorms after 8 p.m.

The low temperature is projected at around 64°F, with a southwest wind at approximately 6 mph.

NWS forecasters say it's essential to prepare for wet weather if you plan to be out and about Sunday night.
