Authorities have identified a 27-year-old North Arlington man who jumped to his death early Tuesday morning in Rutherford.
Police responded to the westbound Route 3 near MetLife Stadium just after 5 a.m. for a report of a crash.
Upon arrival, police found Jorge J. Torres who had jumped from a car. Despite officers attempts to revive Torres, he was pronounced dead by 5:31 a.m.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Fatal Accident Investigation Unit, the county sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Identification responded to the scene.
The incident is under investigation.
