NJ Man Charged with Explicit Contact, Child Endangerment of Juvenile

Authorities in Bergen County announced the arrest of 31-year-old Jorge Orrego-Garcia of Palisades Park on charges of explicit contact and endangering the welfare of a child.

Officials said the arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Acting Chief Matthew Finck and the Palisades Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Anthony Espino.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said on Friday, March 22, the Palisades Park Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged explicit contact of a juvenile that occurred in the past.

According to officials, an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office revealed that Jorge Orrego-Garcia had explicit contact with a juvenile under the age of 13 in Palisades Park.

As a result of the investigation, on Friday, March 22, Jorge Orrego-Garcia was charged with two counts of second-degree explicit contact and two counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, officials stated.

Authorities say Orrego-Garcia was arrested in Paramus and remanded to the Bergen County Jail for a first appearance at the Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
