NJ Man Charged with Criminal Explicit Contact, Child Endangerment

Authorities in Bergen County announced the arrest of Donald Kumar Davis, 33,  of Nutley, on charges of aggravated criminal explicit contact and endangering the welfare of a child.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said the arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Washington Township Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Skinner.

Officials stated that on Wednesday, December 13, the Washington Township Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged explicit contact of a juvenile.

According to officials, an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Washington Township Police Department revealed that Donald Kumar Davis had explicit contact with a child in Washington Township on two occasions and in Wyckoff on one occasion.

As a result of the investigation, on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, Davis was arrested in Paramus and charged with two counts of second-degree aggravated criminal explicit contact and two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Davis was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
