A fortunate individual has struck luck in Newark, winning $100,000 from a Powerball ticket purchased at a neighborhood bodega. 

Real estate New Jersey Lottery officials confirmed the win at Medina's Family Grocery, located at the intersection of 17th Avenue and South 18th Street in Newark's West Ward, on February 10, 2024.

The winning ticket was notable for matching four of the winning numbers in addition to the Powerball number, securing a hefty sum for the ticket holder.

The numbers that changed fate were 27, 28, 34, 37, 44, with the Powerball number coming in at 08.

The community around Medina's Family Grocery is buzzing with excitement over the news of the win emanating from their neighborhood.
