Police reported no injuries in a shots-fired incident in Newark's Vailsburg section Monday evening.
Officers were dispatched to investigate reports of a shooting near the intersection of West End Avenue and Lindsley Avenues around 7:45 p.m.
When Newark West Ward cops arrived, they requested the Shooting Response Team and a crime scene unit after they located shell casings.
A search of the neighborhood indicated no victims, and no arrests have been reported.
