Newark Police Seeks the Public's Help Identifying iPhone Theft Suspect

Authorities in Newark requested the public’s help with identifying the suspect, who stole two iPhones from a store that sells cell phones and electronics on November 20, 2023.  AdNewark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said at approximately 4:25 p.m., the suspect was captured on surveillance video walking into Micro City Wireless & Electronics, located in the 100 block of Ferry Street.

Authorities say once inside, the suspect asked the employee to show him an iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Pic When the employee gave the suspect two phones to view, he grabbed the phones, ran out of the store, and was last seen heading north on Jackson Street, officials stated.

Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
