Newark Police Seeks Help Locating Men Wanted for Questioning in Shooting Investigation

Authorities in Newark request the public’s help with locating Aljaquan Thomason, 31, and Terrance Shells, 27, both wanted for questioning in connection with the investigation of a shooting that occurred on Sunday, March 24, 2024.AdNewark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said at approximately 4:11 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of Irvine Turner Boulevard on a call of a shooting.

While no injuries have been reported, responding officers located spent shell casings in the area, officials stated.

According to officials, detectives investigating this incident observed surveillance footage of a white vehicle fleeing the area after a male fired a handgun toward the vehicle.

Police are seeking Aljaquan Thomason and Terrance Shells for questioning in this incident, authorities say. 

Officials said director Fragé urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of Aljaquan Thomason and/or Terrance Shells to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
