Irvington Township Man Charged with Explicit Contact with Minor

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Mr. Terrell Williams, 46, of Irvington on charges of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Officials said on Sunday, December 5, the Hackensack Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a minor. 

Police said an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Hackensack Police Department revealed that Wilson allegedly sexually assaulted the child.

As a result of the investigation, on Wednesday, December 8, Wilson was arrested in Irvington. 

He is charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact and third-degree sexual penetration without informed consent. 

Officials said Wilson was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack. 

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
