The Idea Trap: Conquering Daily Execution As Marriedpreneurs

New Jersey

By: O.L./Sway Buckley

Our extensive experience as coaches and consultants has observed that when scaling a business and seeing residual growth, the primary issue is different from what you think.

Let's talk about the obvious hurdles that are not the primary issue:

❌ It's not a lack of vision

❌ It's not an unsupportive spouse

❌ It's not that you don't have what it takes

Marriedpreneur LifeHere's what the most common growth issue marriedpreneurs face:

Have you heard of TSOS?

It's short for the Shiny Object Syndrome.

Some of us are more prone to it than others.

As a marriedpreur couple, one spouse likely has a higher predisposition than the other to chase the next 'squirrel' or distraction.

Here's what it can look like:

Marriedpreneur Podcast✅You don't have a daily action calendar to move the needle forward daily, so your days are more reactive than proactive.

✅ There's little to no daily accountability for expected results or outcomes

✅ You're easily distracted by the next idea or app or software, so more time is spent on creating 'new' instead of executing what is started

These are a few signs that you may be struggling with daily execution. But the good news is TSOS is curable! It requires intention and consistency, but you can overcome it! You MUST overcome it!

Operating Systems ChecklistIf that's you, here are some quick tips:

✅Keep your vision super simple.

✅Hold each other accountable with daily expectations that must be articulated to one another to be held accountable.

Set a mile marker- be clear on how long you will work on a particular project (i.e., until a specific date or goal is reached, etc.).

✅Give your spouse permission to hold you to the fire. Do it for each other.

Starting with these three steps may feel a bit weird at first if you're accustomed to chasing new shiny objects when you get bored. If you're ready for more systems, schedule a success-mapping call here to learn how to implement high-level systems.

Here's to living purposefully, powerfully, and profitably in sync,
