How To Keep Business Going When You Aren't (As Marriedpreneurs)

By: O.L. and Sway Buckley

We don't hear about the 'dips' in business as much as we hear about the wins.

Whether scrolling through social media or browsing an entrepreneurial-focused magazine, you might need help to hear a lot about business burnout.

The truth is we are all limited beings with capped capacity. As married entrepreneurs, the challenge is doubly as heavy. Burnout can make you feel like giving up or simply not doing anything because you have nothing else to give. Thankfully, we have been here all too often, So much so that we have implemented strict boundaries for our marriage and business. But, to be fully transparent, the challenge of abiding by the cones is still present even with the boundaries.

We've grown in discipline and faith in God's leading.

In addition, we created a process to focus on what's most important that requires the least amount of effort (when we have very little to give).

The answer is simple if you've found yourself at a place where you have nothing to give. Rest on top of rest is required. Then a plan is needed to draw new boundaries.

If you are at a place where you need a system to implement, here's our recommendation for a quick audit:

  1. Simple Profit Plan: If your business model is complicated, it's easy to be drained before you grow to the next state. Consider what can be shifted and streamlined in your process.
  2. Redefined Wealth Roles: What used to work may not be the best fit in this new season. Consider re-evaluating your wealth roles to better align with your current needs.
  3. Automation: Some likely items and tasks can be automated to save time and energy. Consider what areas you can switch from manual to automation in your business.

These three pillars have transformed how we do marriage and business because we now have more margin in the day, which only improves with more practice. If you're a marriedpreneur couple seeking support with these steps, we can help. Schedule a success-mapping call here.
