Elizabeth Woman Stabbed; Linden Police Investigate

Authorities in Linden are investigating a stabbing report after a bleeding Elizabeth woman approached an officer. 

Shortly after midnight, a 36-year-old Elizabeth woman approached a police car in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant on East St. George Avenue near Chandler Avenue, Captain James Sarnicki.

The woman was bleeding from a stab wound on the side of her neck, Sarnicki said.

Paramedics from Medic 10 and the Linden Fire Department ambulance responded and treated the victim at the scene. 

She was then transported to University Hospital in Newark for further treatment, added the captain.

The incident is being investigated by Linden detectives.
