The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office made a shocking arrest on Thursday, as Mr. Julius Coaccioli, a 55-year-old Edison Township Middle School Teacher, was apprehended at the Middlesex County Courthouse.

Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said the arrest follows charges that include manufacturing child pornography, kidnapping, endangering the welfare of a minor, possession of explicit images of minors, aggravated criminal sexual contact, and stalking.

According to Prosecutor Ciccone, The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit (ICAC) executed a search warrant at Coaccioli's residence on August 30, 2023.

During the search, electronic devices were seized, and he was initially charged with the possession of explicit images of minors, a third-degree offense.

However, a deeper examination of the digital evidence uncovered a disturbing revelation – Coaccioli had engaged in a sexual relationship with one of his juvenile male middle school students back in 2013.

Presently, Julius Coaccioli is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center, pending the outcome of a pre-trial detention hearing in Superior Court.

The investigation into this matter remains active, with authorities urging anyone with additional information to come forward by contacting Detective Kenneth McGarry of the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office at 732-745-3140.

It is essential to remember that all charges against Julius Coaccioli are accusations at this stage, and he is entitled to the presumption of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law.
