The Union County Prosecutors Office has been notified of a body that was found inside a park in Elizabeth today.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to the Bayway Park before 11 a.m. after receiving reports of suspicious activities.
Upon their arrival, Union County officials say they found an unconscious, unresponsive and unidentified person inside the park according to authorities.
Police set up a crime scene inside the park where detectives searched for evidence and other items.
The Union County Prosecutors office has confirmed that they responded to the scene and joined in on the investigation.
The cause of the person's death is unknown at this time.
