Police in Newark recovered the body of an unidentified person found floating in a river at a park in the city Monday afternoon.
At approximately 1:45 p.m., police were notified of a floater near the paddle boat dock at Branch Brook Park.
Newark Firefighters and a special operations unit arrived and found the deceased victim in the River.
Circumstances behind the incident is under an active and ongoing investigation.
