Today, residents in Newark and parts of North Jersey are waking up to a slightly cooler morning compared to yesterday, with temperatures hovering around 27 degrees in Newark and dipping into the teens in some areas of North Jersey.Despite the weakened breeze, it's still brisk enough to give a real feel of winter.
With sunny skies dominating the day, the temperatures will nevertheless struggle to climb out of the 30s, reminding us that winter is still very much present.
According to The National Weather Service, the forecast for today predicts sunny conditions, with a high near 37 degrees. Wind chill values will range between 15 and 25 degrees.
The north wind will be gentle at 5 to 7 mph, becoming light and variable as the day progresses.
As the evening approaches, expect mostly clear skies with the temperature dropping to a low of around 25 degrees.
The wind will remain light and variable. Residents are advised to dress warmly to comfortably enjoy the day's sunshine.
