Authorities in Kearny are investigating an incident where firefighters pulled a man out of a burning car who later died on Saturday afternoon.
According to authorities, the incident happened in the 50's block of Arlington Avenue where firefighters were called to the scene after receiving reports of a vehicle fire.
Authorities said upon arrival, they found the car heavily involved in fire.
Units extinguished the fire without incident where a search of the vehicle had firefighters locate a male inside the car with injuries incompatible with life authorities said.
The identity of the victim is being handled by the Kearny Police and the prosecutor's office.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
