Authorities in Atlantic County reported that on Tuesday, September 19, Hosea R. Jackson, 66, of Baltimore, MD, was sentenced by the Honorable W. Todd Miller, J.S.C., to probation for the crimes of third-degree criminal restraint with the risk of serious bodily injury and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.

According to officials, on July 14, 2023, an Atlantic County jury found Jackson guilty of both counts.

Authorities say the State argued that Jackson should be sentenced to five years in New Jersey State Prison based on the facts of the case and Jackson’s prior criminal record.

On July 30, 2018, officials stated the defendant locked M.O., a housekeeper at the Claridge Hotel, in his hotel room.

Officials said he grabbed her arms and placed her hand over his genitals, refusing to let her go.

A struggle ensued until the victim was able to break free and escape, officials said, she then locked herself in a nearby room and called for help.

This case was investigated by Atlantic City Police officials say.
