Local police, in collaboration with school security, intervened in an altercation involving multiple juveniles from a North Ward school on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident, which occurred around 4 p.m., unfolded in the vicinity of Barringer High School and later extended to the nearby Basilica of the Sacred Heart.
During the altercation, numerous juveniles were observed engaging in physical combat.
Promptly, several police units arrived to disperse the crowd, as some individuals were disorderly and did not immediately disperse.
Fortunately, authorities have reported no serious injuries resulting from the altercation. Video surveillance footage from the resident's security cameras revealed no shots were fired, as initially indicated by social media rumors.
While concerned parents informed RLS Media that the dispute originated at the school, the precise cause of the altercation has not yet been officially confirmed.
Investigations are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident.
