Atlantic City Police reported on Tuesday, July 25, Rahmir Brown, 22, of Atlantic City, pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery and second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun.

According to officials, Brown admitted to brandishing a handgun and demanding money from a cashier at Joe’s Food Market in Pleasantville on December 4, 2021.

Officials said he will also be subject to three years of intensive parole supervision upon any release from prison.

Authorities said the plea also calls for Brown to serve a concurrent term of five years with a parole ineligibility period of three-and-one-half years for unlawfully possessing a handgun during the robbery.

Sentencing is scheduled for September 7, 2023, in front of the Honorable Joseph Levin, J.S.C. Brown will remain in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending sentencing.
