Newark Police are on the search for a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a North Ward gas station.
The incident occurred early Tuesday morning at the Millennium Gas Station, located at 108 Bloomfield Avenue.
Responding to reports of a commercial robbery, police units arrived at the scene to gather details from witnesses.
According to reports, a black male suspect in a silver or light-colored vehicle confronted a gas station employee at gunpoint. The assailant successfully stole an undisclosed amount of money before hastily driving away from the scene.
Thankfully, no physical injuries were reported during the robbery.
However, the suspect remains at large, and Newark Police are actively seeking any information that could lead to his apprehension.
Police are appealing to the public for assistance in this case, urging anyone with information about the suspect or the vehicle to come forward.
