Armed Robberies Yield Victims' Car Keys, Vehicle in Newark

An investigation is underway into at least two reported armed robberies that happed over night in the city that had the suspects taking the victims' keys then stealing at least on vehicle. 

Police are looking for about four armed men who were reportedly wearing masks when they pointed weapons at a person in the 300 block of 3rd Ave., taking a wallet, car keys, and other personal possessions shortly before 3:30 a.m. 

The vehicle is being reported as a 2013 Nissan Sentra with a reported NJ license plate number "U50-CKU". The suspects were reportedly occupying a small dark colored vehicle during the robbery. 

A short time later in the 100 block of Pennington Street, suspects fitting the same description robbed a man for his car keys at that location. The victim's vehicle was not taken during the crime. 

Both incidents are being investigated by Newark Police.
