23-Year-Old Man Injured in Paterson Neighborhood Shooting

Passaic County authorities announced that at approximately 6:49 p.m. on September 4, Paterson Police officers were dispatched to the area of Lawrence Street and Mercer Street in Paterson on a report of a shooting.

According to Paterson Police, upon arrival, officers located a 23-year-old male Paterson resident who sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound and was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson.

Police say officers were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area.

A brief time earlier, officers were notified of shots fired in the area of Godwin Avenue and Rosa Parks Boulevard in Paterson.

According to Police, officers responded to the area and located a potential crime scene.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
